1906 1C -- Reverse Damage -- NGC Details. Unc. A plentiful issue, often chosen for type purposes. This example was struck from a fresh die pair, as evidenced by the semiprooflike fields and sharp design definition. The obverse is primarily orange-gold, with a few tiny cherry and olive accents; the reverse has a few shallow scrapes, warranting the details grade from NGC, though these are well-masked by deep burgundy toning.
