Henry IV (1399-1413) gold Noble 1412-13, S-1715, North-1355, Light Coinage, XF Details (Mount Removed) NGC. This example has been poorly struck on a smallish planchet that has the additional disadvantage of having been clipped. The marks from the mount removal are not readily apparent, although this piece has the look of an ex-jewelry coin. Aesthetics aside, this is a scarce gold issue and and excellent introductory piece for the newcomer to the field of British hammered gold.
