Description | George III Sixpence 1818, KM665, S-3791, MS65 NGC. A truly elegant coin that is boldly struck, richly toned in iridescent shades of blue, violet, and golden amber, and lustrous under the color. Various die-breaks on each side add interest to the surfaces of this coin. The 1818 sixpence is decidedly scarcer than the first two dates, which are seen rather frequently. Among the best seen by this experienced cataloguer. Realized $940.00. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions. |
