Appearing later in this offering are two examples of Miller 16.1-D that were struck between early and late states of this variety and of Miller 2-D. The reverse of this example has no crumbling at the I in LIB, and no die crack from the lower curve of the B in that word. The granular surfaces combine dark maroon and blue-steel with golden-tan on the devices. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Realized $822.50. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.
