1788 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Mailed Bust Right GEORGIVS III Fine 12 NGC. M. 101-D, Vlack 13-88CT, R.5. 125.0 grains. Prominent obverse bulges and advanced reverse die failure are the hallmarks of this late die state Machin's Mills piece. Sharp details appear at the right reverse border, outside the crack and bulge that obliterates most of LIB. The smooth surfaces combine medium brown color with blue-steel patina.
