1723 1/2P Rosa Americana Halfpenny, Uncrowned AU55 NGC. Martin 3.5-E.1, W-1232, R.4. Seen far less often than the Crowned Rose reverse, this colonial type is absent from many specialized collections. This example is well-defined and struck on an undamaged planchet, unusual for this era. A trifle uneven along the rims, but generally a well-produced specimen free from any obvious signs of circulation or mishandling. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
