1722 2PENCE Rosa Americana Twopence VF20 NGC. Martin 4.4.-C.1, W-1330, R.4. The Old Head of George, facing right, with no stop after REX. Plenty of clear design detail remains evident on both sides. This is a well-centered piece with some lightly-defined dentils. There are no obvious or distracting abrasions. The motif's high-points display coppery-gold color while the fields offer even deep brown-gray toning. The grading on this attractive piece seems a bit conservative. Ex: Eric P.
