1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Mailed Bust Left, Laughing Head VF20 NGC. M. 6.2-M, W-2825, R.4. 126.5 grains. Struck slightly off center, this piece shows a portion of the lip outside the border dentils on the reverse, from 10 to 12 o'clock. A pleasing two-tone piece, exhibiting golden-tan with mahogany and steel patina. Trivial flaws and microscopic granularity are evident on each side.
