1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Mailed Bust Left, 1787 over 1788 Fine 12 NGC M. 9-R, W-2860, High R.4. 134.3 grains. Lightly corrected blue-steel surfaces show traces of tan on the obverse high points. The 9/R attribution is boldly inked in the right obverse field. Ex: William Wallace Hays; United States Coin Co.; Hillyer Ryder; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. The round "Circle H" card is noted "D.H. May 90" suggesting that W.W. Hays purchased this piece from Dr. Hall in May 1890.
