Massachusetts Bay August 18, 1775 24 Shillings Fr. MA-171. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. Paul Revere engraved the plates for several series of "Sword in Hand" back notes using a style that further emphasized America's independent aspirations. The series circulated heavily, particularly the lesser denominations essential for day-to-day transactions. Noted with "Splits and Tears; Pieces Missing; Minor Stains."
