New Jersey May 15, 1755 1 Shilling Fr. NJ-65. PCGS Good 6 Apparent. This is an extremely rare note from a series with few known surviving examples. It is from the first James Parker engraved series, and his imprint is on the back. The only example handled by us from the series was also from the Newman Collection (a 3 pounds note graded PCGS Very Good 8 Apparent). The F.C.C. Boyd Collection had only one note from the issue. Noted with "Splits, Tears, and Damage; Stains." Very collectible due its great rarity. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2017).
