Lansingburgh, (New York) - J. Dole, Treasurer of the Lansingburgh Museum October 20, 1792 3 Pence Newman page 304, Harris H6. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. This is an interesting change series that was to be accepted by 27 area merchants, though not specified in the obligation, and redeemed by James Dole as treasurer. Printed on two sides by Tiffany & Wands. Ornamental bordering is around the perimeter with text in center and the engraved "J. Dole" in script. The back has an ornamental border with the denomination and the imprint at center within a rectangular cartouche. Noted with "Splits, Tears, and Minor Edge Damage." In typical, yet acceptable, condition for small notes that circulated heavily before the opening of the United States Mint and coining of cents. Ex: Eric P.
