North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1/2 Owl Fr. NC-156g. PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent. Another rare lesser denomination fractional from the eclectic and eye-catching series. The owl vignette at the lower left is well detailed. The note has some perimeter faults, but is very full with wide to boardwalk margins all around. Noted with "Small Edge Splits and Tears; Hinge Repair on Back." We have handled only a few of this fascinating type, and this a very pleasing representative. Ex: Eric P.
