North Carolina August 8, 1778 $25 Sic Transit... Fr. NC-179. PCGS Very Fine 30. This is the sole motto type used for the $25 notes from the issue. At the lower left, the motto "Sic transit Gloria Mundi" translates to "Thus passes the glory of the world." Printed on thin paper. Even circulation and two finely penned signatures. Ex: Eric P.
