South Carolina 1777 (December 23, 1776 Act) $2 Fr. SC-136a. PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ. This is an attractive series with emblems, mottoes and signature varieties. Two enactment dates are seen on this denomination. This has the correct date of the act on the face (as opposed to some with the error December 23, 1777). A dual signature, Dart and Wakefield, remainder note. Arced above the rooster emblem is the motto ET SOLI ET MARTI (For the sun and Mars). Very bold and close to perfect. Ex: Eric P.
