Connecticut October 11, 1777 Uncut Double Pane Sheet of 2 Pence-3 Pence-4 Pence-5 Pence-7 Pence Fr. CT-214-218. PCGS Choice New 63. This is very rare, and the only Connecticut Colonial government sheet type known. It is only the second we have observed, the other being in the Boyd Collection sold in Ford Part VIII: Lot 1431. Complete in two panes, printed on opposite sides of a single sheet, comprising two sets of all 5 denominations from the issue. Printed on thick blue paper, with each note numbered (30911) and signed. There are foxing patches, but mostly away from the notes. The condition is superior to the Boyd Collection sheet, which realized $3,565 in January 2005. The whole is worth much more than the sum of the parts in this case. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2017).
