Maryland April 10, 1774 Uncut Strip of $2-$1-$2/3-$1/3 Fr. MD-67-66-65-63. PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ. Not a rare issue date, but a rarely encountered multiple in choice condition. As Eric noted in the Sheet Structure appendix in The Early Paper Money of America, the complete sheet "probably" has additional denominations. The top and right margins are wide; the left end is indented. The notes are fully signed and numbered. Boyd's example (Ford Part VI: Lot 537 at $1,495) had the same denominations and a full bottom margin with deckled edge. It is not out of the question that this issue was printed with different arrays or t?te-b?che. We do not have enough observed multiples to make firm conclusions. This lightly handled, gorgeous vertical is exceptionally bright. The printing clarity by A. C. and F. Green is beautiful, and the back is particularly three-dimensional. A showpiece. Ex: Eric P.
