State of New Jersey June 9, 1780 Uncut Single Pane Sheet of $5-$7-$8-$20/$1-$2-$3-$4 Fr. NJ-188-189-190-191/184-185-186-187. PCGS About New 50. An extremely rare and important uncut Colonial sheet. A single pane composed of all eight denominations from the Guaranteed by the United States issue from New Jersey. All signed by Dickenson and Brearley on the face and countersigned on the backs by Joseph Borden. Each denomination is stamped in red with "INT Pd 1 Yr." Amazingly, Boyd's cabinet held a double-pane sheet with three missing impressions. He also had a complete pane (Ford Part VI: Lot 543). Not in DuPont. A beautiful pane presenting a significant opportunity. Underappreciated compared with many of the better-known Colonial and Guaranteed by the United States sheets. Auction appearances over the past half-century have been sparse. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2017).
