State of Massachusetts Bay - "Comm'tie WAR" 6% Interest Payable Annually 40 Pounds February 24, 1777 Anderson-Smythe MA-4. PCGS Very Fine 35. An available Massachusetts War funding certificate in excellent condition. Printed on laid paper. 15.0 cm by 16.5 cm. A partly printed form, with a few spaces for filling in. Ornamental bordering is all around, and the left end has wavy indented cutting as issued. No. 1710. Fully issued and signed by Jeffries, Hill and Gardner (pen cancelled). There is one back endorsement. Though Rarity-4 (76-100 known), the quality is outstanding. A premium example and worthy of liberal bidding. Ex: Eric P.
