State of the Massachusetts Bay - (Act of October 13, 1777) 6% Treasury Loan Certificate due March 1, 1781 30 Pounds 7 Shillings Dec. 1, 1777 Anderson-Smythe MA-10. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. A fourth MA-10 "Sword in Hand" bond from the Newman Collection. Printed from a Nathaniel Hurd plate on laid paper. 21.5 cm by 23.0 cm. The same layout as previous, with an embossed stamp on the text portion. No. 123. Issued and signed by Scollay, Price, Boyer and Henry Gardner (pen cancelled). Without the red diagonal interest endorsement at right on the face, but docketed on the back. Noted with "Splits." However, untrimmed and in above average quality for the series and type. Ex: Eric P.
