Decatur, AL - Bank of the State of Alabama $1 Nov. 1, 1833 AL-5 G56a, Rosene 2-6. PCGS Good 6 Apparent. This is a rare issued note from Decatur, and very collectible despite the low grade. At top center between counters, the vignette shows a sailing sidewheel steamer, Alabama, with a large alligator entering the water in the foreground. The location DECATUR appears on the orange color back. Grading notes "Tape repairs on Back," but all the key elements are clear.
