Arkadelphia, AR - Treasurer of Clark County $5 Jan. 27, 1873 Rothert 13-2. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent. This note is from a rare series of written denomination warrants (all using the same Rothert number designation) necessary to facilitate tax payments and other municipal needs. Lithographed by St. Louis Democrat Litho & Printing Co. with a brown back. The state seal is at the left end, an allegorical female is at bottom center, and an eagle is at the upper right. The ornate brown back contains a central cartouche for re-issuing. Grading notes a "Tape Repaired Edge Tear at Top Center," seen from the back.
