Columbia, AR - Detrick & Long 25 Cents May 8, 1862 Rothert 132-2. PCGS Fine 12 Apparent. This is from a very rare series of notes. The plated 50 cents was from the Boys Town Collection. Printed on rag paper in blue. Ceres stands at the left end over a denomination block, and a dog and safe motif is above the stacked title and denomination. Detrick & Long signed on the dotted line at lower right. Noted with "Edge and Internal Splits, Tears, Damage, and Tape Repairs," which show to the face across the top center. The first note from the issuer we have handled, and this may be unique. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2017).
