Little Rock and Pine Bluff, AR - Harris & Kirby $1 Sep. 19, 1862 Rothert 415-3. PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent. This is an amazing note for the Arkansas specialist, and it is possibly unique for the merchant. It is the only example we have seen or cataloged. Printed on brown rag paper, without imprint. The denomination across the center is bold. HARRIS & KIRBY is at top center. End panels show ONE at left and ONE DOLLAR at right, surrounded by ornamentation. Grading notes: "Rust Stains and Damage; Edge Tears." Any faults are academic as this is confirmed for the first time and perhaps irreplaceable. Ex: Eric P.
