Moore's Mill, AR - E. M. Moore & Bros. $2.50 June 16, 1862 Rothert 500-3. PCGS Very Fine 30 Apparent. Though Moore & Bros. is not one of the rarest Arkansas scrip issuers, this green rag paper type is notable for the misspelled obligation "In Confedeeate Notes" straight across the bottom center; perhaps the error was caused by haste. However, "Confedeeate" appears on the $1 note as well (see Newman Part VI: 19015, April 2015) and could be a case of a broken "r" in their typeset kit. At the left end, a locomotive is in perpendicular orientation. At the right end, standing Freedom as seen on Obsolete notes and the $5 United States Demand Notes. Endorsed on the blank back. There are some flaws, as often the case with delicate paper Civil War scrip. Noted are "Edge Splits, Tears, and Repairs; Minor Edge Damage at Right." Ex: Eric P.
