Washington, DC - Bank of the United States (the Second) $5 Office of Discount & Deposit Contemporary Counterfeit Feb. 16, 1829 US-2 C1004. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. A copied branch plate of Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. An eagle is at top center, and end panels show female portraits. The false Biddle signature is at bottom right, and the penned "Counterfeit" is perpendicular on face. Noted as "Tape Repaired Tear at Top Right." These are extremely rare genuine and issued.
