Albany, GA - Ocmulgee & Flint River Rail Road Co. 25 Cents Dec. 14, 1841. PCGS Very Fine 30. These were medium size rectangular interest bearing due bills printed by W. Keenan in South Carolina. Research for the Alan Dorris Collection catalogs relates the railroad was approved in 1827 and did some preliminary right-of-way work, but never made it into operation. An early train rolls along the tracks under the arced RAIL ROAD Co. and above the denomination on this scrip note. Dark end panels show the textual denomination.
