Description Augusta, GA - Lot of 3 Bank of Augusta Early Style Contemporary Counterfeits. This is an interesting study collection of early period Bank of Augusta counterfeits. All in superior grade for the types. $2 Contemporary Counterfeit May 30, 1818 GA-30 C32. PCGS Extremely Fine 40. This counterfeit shows an eagle holding arrows, an olive branch, and a "2" on a small shield. The end panel at left shows the textual denomination. $10 Contemporary Counterfeit 18__ GA-30 C76. PCGS Choice New 63PPQ. Another counterfeit note, this time with the false imprint of Tanner, Kearny & Tiebout at the base and a C. P. Harrison Printer imprint at the right perpendicular to the panel. Printed on white paper. At top center, a man loads a wagon. End panels show the denomination in a cartouche, white on black at the left, and black on white at the right. $10 Contemporary Counterfeit June 7, 1825 GA-30 C76a. PCGS Choice About New 58. Similar, but the note is on pink paper. As on the previous, the imprint of C.P. Harrison Printer is perpendicular to the right end panel. Ex: Eric P.
