Augusta, GA - Lot of 2 Augusta Insurance and Banking Co. $50 Notes from Two Series. $50 Oct. 15, 1836 GA-35 G42. PCGS Very Fine 20. An earlier series note. Neptune rides in his horse-drawn chariot as an angel with cornucopia flies above. End panels show male portraits between "50" dies, with John Adams at the left. The Durand, Perkins & Co. imprint is below the sidewheel steamer at the base. $50 Oct. 10, 1855 GA-35 G46a. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. This is a handsome Danforth, Wright & Co, imprint series $50. On this note, a female portrait within an agricultural frame is at bottom center. At lower right, allegorical females support a shield showing an eagle and state emblems. A right-angled red guilloche is at the left using the Durand patents. Noted is a "Small Repaired Hole at Top Left." Ex: Eric P.
