Augusta, GA - Bridge Company of Augusta $5 Oct. 24, 1818 GA-45 G20. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. Leney & Rollinson used a custom vignette for the bank series. A fierce looking eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch flies above the bridge in the top center vignette. Tollbooths and gatekeepers are at either end to allow passengers entry. Shimmering moir? patterns provide the background for the end panels. The vignette is unusual, and there are three signatures. Noted by grading are "Minor Rust Stains and Damage at Right."
