Augusta, GA - Bank of the State of Georgia, Branch Bank at Augusta $1 Jan. 9, 1860 GA-330 G178a. PCGS Very Fine 25. On this type, "Branch Bank at Augusta" is engraved on the plate. America as a Native American princess sits at a wharf with a shield, caduceus and other symbolic items at her feet. The left end shows a woman reading a book, and the right has an allegorical female holding a rudder and a cornucopia. The red back features a large, ornate ONE. Bold and underrated in this grade.
