Macon, GA - Lot of 2 Bank of Macon Banknotes from Two Series. Interesting pair from different series. $3 Nov. 25, 1829 GA-195 G10. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. This is engraved by Durand, Perkins & Co. At top center, an allegorical female with attributes of Liberty, Commerce, and Mechanics sits at the shore next to a shield showing an eagle and various state emblems. Portraits of Washington, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton are in oval frames at the left end. Noted with "Small edge Repairs." $5 July 4, 1831 GA-195 G14. PCGS Very Fine 35 Apparent. Justice and Liberty are shown at top center flanking a shield with the arch and columns from the state seal on this Fairman, Draper, Underwood & Co.
