Description Macon, GA - Lot of 5 Macon Savings Bank March 16, 1863 Emergency Notes. This quintet was printed by Blanton Duncan of Columbia, S.C., a Confederate States imprint. All are visually bright and in above average condition. $1 March 16, 1863. PCGS Very Good 10 Apparent. The Battle of Lexington is depicted below the arced location and date, and Liberty is at the lower right. Grading notes a "Small Hole at Bottom Center" and "Hinges on Back." $2 March 16, 1863. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. Vignettes show allegorical females. Grading notes "Tape on Back." $3 March 16, 1863. PCGS Fine 15. A slave carries a basket full of cotton on his shoulder above the denomination block at the left end, a sidewheel steamer is at the top, and an allegorical representation of Commerce is at the right. No imprint, but same series. $4 March 16, 1863. PCGS Fine 15. The allegorical female and ship seen on the $2 from the bank are displayed here. Duncan's imprint is at lower left. $5 March 16, 1863. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. The slave vignette seen on the $3 note is at left, but beneath a "V" counter; Commerce is at lower right. "Mounting Remnants on Back" are noted by PCGS. Ex: Eric P.
