(Milledgeville), GA - Wills Valley Railroad $3 Apr. 1, 1862. PCGS Fine 12 Apparent. The dollar denominations from this issue date are quite scarce. The red phrase BY AUTHORITY OF THE LEGISLATURE is much more subdued than on the previous two July 1, 1862 notes from the title. It is perpendicular beneath the train vignette at the left end. Also in red are the location, denomination, and decorative elements. Grading notes "Edge and Internal Splits and Tears." The Alan Dorris example was superior to this and sold for $470.
