Savannah, GA - Merchants and Planters Bank $10 June 1, 1860 GA-315 G10b. PCGS Extremely Fine 45 Apparent. Similar in layout, but from a later series by the American Bank Note Company. The counter surrounds and state name are in vermillion. The TEN is smaller and flanked by "X" protectors, also in vermillion. Allegorical Agriculture sits on a pile of grain with two birds beside her as adapted from Bald, Cousland & Co. Grading notes a "Small Hole at Bottom Left of Center," but this is a lovely note.
