Savannah, GA - Lot of 2 Bank of the State of Georgia Principal Bank Higher Denominations. Colorful Danforth, Wright & Co. notes with vermillion dies on the face and color security backs. $50 July 27, 1855 GA-330 G80a. PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent. The guilloche at the center of the face and the lathe work dies on the back are in deep red. The imprint appears on both the face, in black, and the back, in red. Grading notes a "Paper Scuff on Back in UR Corner." $100 Dec. 21, 1855 GA-330 G86a. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. Imprints are on both face and back, and it has the same type of large outlined die protector in red. "Internal Tear at Center" noted. A contemporary blue ink stamp is on the face. Ex: Eric P.
