Bloomington, IL - Bank of Bloomington $3 Nov. 24, 1860 IL-60 G6a. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. A rare bank and fully issued note. The bank became the National Bank of Bloomington and redeemed most of its obsolete circulation. An orange lace tint enlivens the layout from Toppan, Carpenter & Company. Workers load an ox-drawn hay wagon at the center, and a surveying scene is at the left. The note does have some faults, which are noted as: "Missing UL corner; Hinge Remnants and Scuffs on Back; Stains; Small Edge Splits." The corner is just rounded and in and not far into the frame lines. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2017).
