Bloomington, IL - LaFayette Bank $5 Apr. 4, 1860 IL-65 G8a SENC. PCGS Fine 15. This type was plagued by contemporary counterfeits. The main vignette showing slaves and wagons loaded with bales appeared in the Savannah, GA - Merchants and Planters Bank $1 earlier in the sale. Both were engraved by Danforth, Wright & Company.
