Chicago, IL - Bradley, Curtis & Co., Payable at the City Bank $1 Mar. 1, 1856. PCGS Fine 12 Apparent. This is a complex two-state note, using a common trick to make it hard to redeem in the period by emitting from one location and making it redeemable far away. The note is technically from Penn Yan, New York, which is discreetly placed at top and bottom. However, its central title is of a Chicago note. Pat Lyon at the Forge is at the top between helmeted cameo-head counters. Grading notes "Edge Damage; Hinge Repairs on Back." Low grade, but very rare and intriguing. Ex: Eric P.
