Oxford, IL - Mississippi River Bank $10 Aug. 12, 1856 Altered Note IL-625 A10. PCGS Fine 15. This is a spurious issue created from altering a Thames Bank, Laurel, IN note. Above the title, an allegorical female sits with commercial goods at a wharf. A farmer carries a basket brimming with ears of corn at lower right, and a red FIVE protector is across.
