Taylorville, IL - Plowmans Bank $1 Oct. 15, 1860 IL-805 G2a. PCGS Very Good 8 Apparent. This is a rare bank, and most known issued notes are low grade or damaged. Plow horses strain to make progress at top center, while ducks and ducklings are featured at lower left. Protector devices are in red on this National Bank Note Company dollar. PCGS cites "Repaired Edge Tears; Rust Stains." We have handled only a $3 note from the bank, and it realized $1,762.50 graded PMG Very Fine 25 Net in January 2013. Ex: Eric P.
