Des Moines, IA - State Bank of Iowa, at Des Moines $5 Oct. 1, 1859 IA-1 G74 SENC, Oakes 37-5. PCGS Fine 12 Apparent. A genuine note from the branch, and very rare. Under the title, a long wagon train travels forward (the vignette appears on Great Salt Lake City notes also). The Union vignette is at lower left, and Antoine LeClaire is at lower right. The red security back shows a multitude of the number five. "Edge Splits, Tears, and Damage" and "Tape on Back" are cited by PCGS.
