Description Ottumwa, IA - Western Supply Co. pay at Whitebreast Company 10 Cents March 31, 1883 Oakes-UNL. Remainder. PCGS Choice About New 55 Apparent. A very rare and unlisted "Not Intended to be Used as Money" scrip, similar to those used in the far western states. This is a very small format note printed by Western B.N. & Engraving, Chicago on bond paper, in black and red on the face and green on the back. The vignettes at upper and lower left show a flying eagle and a resting pig, respectively. The green back has the obligation in the right center and shows a circular emblem with "10" within. A significant Iowa scrip note, though not issued. "Adhesive Residue and Stain at Top Center" are noted by grading. Ex: Eric P.
