Baton Rouge, LA - State of Louisiana Uncut Sheet of $1-$2-$3/$1-$2-$3 February 24, 1862 Cr. 8-6-4/8-6-4. PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ. This is a double-sided sheet illustrating the use of earlier host Obsolete notes for printing Civil War emergency notes. The 1862 State notes were printed on the back of leftover blue $5-$5-$10-$20 Exchange Office, Holley Springs, Mississippi sheets printed in the late 1830s by Rawdon, Wright & Hatch. The fully issued 1862 notes are simple designs with green protectors, title arced over top, and end panels. Noted by PCGS as "Printed on Back of Exchange Office, Holly Springs, MS $5-5-10-20."
