Franklin, LA - Parish of St. Mary 25 Cents Aug. 15, 1862. PCGS About New 53PPQ. There are several series of notes from this parish, and this is the more frequently seen. However, this example is in superb condition. Printed on brown paper by White & Son, Printers, Franklin, La. The obligation is across the center with a bolded "25" centered above. The left end shows the textual denomination in a cartouche, and the right end has a fancy ornamental device. Wide margined and deeply printed.
