New Orleans, LA - H. Fassmann & Co. 50 Cents Mar. 22, 1862. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. This is from the same series as previous, but a much rarer denomination. It is the first we have cataloged. Printed on white paper with a similar layout to the previous. A train is in an oval at top center. Elaborate ends show the denomination in differing styles, and a green FIFTY 50 CENTS is across. Noted with "Mounting Remnants on Face and Back." We believe this is extremely rare. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2017).
