| Description | The Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) was the policing unit for N. Ireland, and was supposed to uphold the law for both sides in the conflict. Unfortunately, they were composed of largely Loyalist members, and thus often treated Nationalists harshly. The SS is used to compare the RUC to the Nazi SS.
