Bob Evans, geologist, historian, and curator of millions of dollars worth of sunken treasure recovered from the S. S. Central America, had the attention of nearly forty seminar attendees on the Sunday following the close of the ’09 Cincinnati convention.  Evans’ day-long seminar took visitors on a virtual tour of salvage operations that netted tons of gold coins, bars, nuggets and dust from the vessel that sank in 1857.
