Description It is thought that ampersands (&) struck on coins indicate the union of England & Ireland. This is a Loyalist symbol celebrating that union. There are four struck on the obverse of the coin with an O applied on the reverse. The meaning of the O is unclear. The seller discovered this among a lot of coins she bought in 2015. Purchased from Sarah Samhan / Whitechurch, Cardif, Wales. (Jn. 31, 2021) ($17).
