The 32C(ounties) is a reference to the 32 original Irish counties before partition. The Nationalist's goal was always to reunite the six counties of Northern Ireland with the 26 of the South to restore Ireland to its original borders. This coin was acquired by the seller as a part of a small collection of Troubles coins accumulated by an elderly Belfast man many years ago. Most of them he's had since the 1960s and 70s but also added a few in later years. This example is one of ten coins from that collection. Purchased from Paul Gorman / Belfast, Co. Antrim, N. Ireland.
